Mark Gubler: July Lessons

Hey everyone!

Let's get thinking ahead with scheduling the first week of July shall we? For those of you with Thursday lessons, you should know that the first Thursday of July is July 4. I'm not really planning on teaching that day, nor am I expecting that you are going to want to bother bringing your kids in for lessons on the holiday. The solution that I have come up with is to have all of you Thursday people come in the same time on Wednesday (July 3) as you would if it were Thursday. I realize that might not work for all of you. If my proposal is inconvenient let me know, and we can see about scheduling a lesson at a different time Wednesday, or on Monday or Tuesday. Friday isn't really an option at this point.
Also, please note that since there are 5 weeks in July that I will be teaching most of you, I will be taking a week off the 2nd week (July 8-12). Tuition will be the regular $40-per-half-hour-student for that month as usual. Those of you with Thursday lessons will technically only get 3 lessons in for July, but since you would have 5 weeks in August it works out to have you pay $40 tuition for each month. That way everyone is doing the same thing, and I can keep track of things much easier.

About Mark

Mark's musical journey began in St. George, Utah at the young age of 3. His early studies were guided by the loving Charnell Manson who, until his early teenage years, brought out the love he has for music. At age 13 his talent and outstanding musicianship became manifest as he studied with Dr. Lynn Dean of St. George. Under Dr. Dean's mentorship he began to see his true potential, and the difference he could make as he strived to achieve it. He won many performance awards during his teenage years, including the honor of performing in the Roy L. Halversen Young Artist Concert with the "Orchestra of Southern Utah" (2006), and stole the show in the "South West Symphony’s" Salute to Youth (2007). Mark took leave from his piano studies to serve a 2 year mission for the LDS church in Toronto, Canada where he continued to serve others. Mark earned his Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy in the Spring of 2015. He has the honor of studying with world renowned piano pedagogue, Professor Gary Amano. Mark received USU's Youth Conservatory Teacher of the Year award in 2014, and the Edward McCallson Memorial Award in 2015. He is working hard toward a Masters Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at USU. Above all else, is his desire to help others reach their full potential while striving to achieve his own.
